1. SUDDENLY BRIGHT OUT - IN STORES NOW
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ************
Kirk’s new record, SUDDENLY BRIGHT OUT, is now officially released! In Austin you’ll find it at Waterloo and Cheapo. It’s got a nice sweet spot right in the middle of the Waterloo Texas Artists wall -- you can’t miss it. And we’re feeling very pro-Cheapo at the moment because they put our humongous poster in the front window -- and left it there! Right next to Prince. Check it out while you’re sitting in traffic at 10th and Lamar.
It’s still simple and easy to buy SUDDENLY BRIGHT OUT directly from us: http://www.kirksmith.net/store_cds_suddenlybrightout.shtml
Or from CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/kirksmith
Also, we just got a new shipment of DESPAIR’S BOOK OF DREAMS AND THE SOMETIMES RADIO CDs, so for all of you that heard “Mine for Awhile” at the show the other night and got a little nostalgic, now's your chance to share it with a friend. Remember, music is free, but Montessori school isn’t. So burn as many CDs as you like, just don’t forget to send us a 10 every now and again. In exchange, we’ll send you a jewel case and the liner notes :-)

2. MIG KOKINDA POSTER FOR SALE
***********************************
In case you don’t realize how big 16x28 actually is, let’s just say that it’s damn large, even for a poster. And in case you can’t tell from the image on the site: http://www.kirksmith.net/store_posters.shtml, this poster rules. Great design, vibrant color, fantastic technique, and an extremely limited edition of 25 pieces!
Mig’s gig posters are widely collected and routinely sell for upwards of $100. This one’s brand new though and no one really knows about it yet, so he’s letting us sell 10 of them through www.kirksmith.net for $25 each. They’ll be worth twice that on e-bay in 6 months. So if you’re into it, snap one up now while we still got ‘em. Check more of Mig’s art @ www.migkokinda.com. By the way, the posters are built with Krylon spray paint and hand-cut stencils. That’s it.

3. SUDDENLY BRIGHT OUT – CD RELEASE PARTY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ****************
How do you feel, Kirk? “Relieved. How’d it sound?” Good, man. Totally awesome. “Shut up.” Really. “Seriously?” Look at all these people. “I know. It’s kinda crazy.” Do you know all of them? “Nope.” That’s cool. “Yeah it is cool. They must listen to KOOP.”
Thank you: Michael and Club DeVille, Eryn, Ken, Gabel, Mig, Gina, Alex, and most of all, Rose.

5. “ALOUD” ON THE RADIO
**************************
It’s true. Austin’s KOOP 91.7 FM was caught, or rather heard, spinning “Aloud” from SUDDENLY BRIGHT OUT. If you want to hear it again, drop Charlie Martin a line @ Charliemuz@aol.com. But for Heaven’s sake make it seem natural. And don’t tell him we told you to!

6. SOME OTHER STUFF
***********************
Remember to check the site every so often, there’s new content each week. And Kirk somehow manages to come up with a new bit for his blog every few days. If you feel the urge, the absolute best thing you can do for us is tell your people about what we’re up to. What the hell ARE we up to? You decide. See you on the 29th.
We offer you our collective thanks.
Humbly,
Your friends at kirksmith.net
