A Tall Stack of Bricks

I stack things
like bricks
in columns crooked and rickety.
I make them
weak and lonely and I like them
that way.
I like the way they share their air
with diving birds
and other things on the verge
of corruption.
I like it when they stand
outside
in rain
and wind
and storms of ghosts
keeping nothing hidden.
And no one admits like a tall brick stack
vulnerability
or signals
limitless hope.
